Crosby Wellness Center is Now Certified by the Medical Fitness Association!

The Peggy & Philip B. Crosby Wellness Center at the Center for Health & Wellbeing in Winter Park has achieved Medical Fitness Facility certification by the Medical Fitness Association (MFA), the country’s leading organization dedicated solely to medically integrated wellness and fitness facilities.

“Studies have shown that when people maintain an active lifestyle, especially in a safe environment, they reduce the risk of illness down the road. The Crosby Wellness Center has taken an important step in providing this extraordinary level of care,” said David Flench, FACHE, FMFA, President and CEO of the Medical Fitness Association.

We couldn’t agree more with David on the importance of minimizing the risk of illness and disease through specialized programming and an active lifestyle. For over 30 years the Winter Park Health Foundation has provided the Crosby Wellness Center as a place to support the overall wellness of individuals in Winter Park and the surrounding communities.  In 2019, the Foundation opened the all-new Crosby Wellness Center as the cornerstone of the Center for Health & Wellbeing, a one-of-a-kind community facility focused on wholeness, fitness, and medicine.

“Achieving the Medical Fitness Facility Certification makes official what we have always done and what we will continue to do at the Crosby Wellness Center – provide the highest levels of service and support to our members on their individual fitness journeys,” says Matt Noe, Director of the Crosby Wellness Center. “We are proud to be recognized as a Certified MFA Facility and to join the small group of others who have received this recognition and are also committed to excellence in wellness programming.”

Since opening in 1989, Crosby Wellness Center has provided a high-quality facility, professional staff, and programs in a unique, supportive environment.
